The season of Lent can be very much a journey. Like any trip we make, we get the most out of it when we prepare for it. This retreat will provide the time and space to reflect on Lenten journeys of the past, as well as the current state of our souls. Equipped with that insight, we can then prepare for the Lenten journey that awaits us.
This two-hour time of virtual retreat will include teaching, personal reflection time, small group sharing, and large group discussion. In particular, we will experientially explore disciplines from the Christian tradition – lectio divina and the examen prayer – to help prepare for the journey. During our time together, I will share poetry from my latest collection, Into the Wilderness: a poetic companion for Lent and Easter.
Two virtual opportunities will be offered:
